Samsung Galaxy Note 3 U.S. Release Date Details

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 U.S. release date is coming after the rest of the world gets to buy the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

At the tail end of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3event Samsung announced the U.S. Galaxy Note 3 release date would arrive in October, after the September 25th worldwide release date.

This is not surprising as Samsung devices normally arrive in the U.S. after a global launch, but it is disappointing news for shoppers that want to buy a AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular and Verizon Galaxy Note 3.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 U.S. Release date is confirmed for October.

While there is no specific Samsung Galaxy Note 3 U.S. release dates announced, all appearances point to a fast Note 3 release in the U.S. and Samsung could deliver an AT&T Galaxy Note 3 release date in early October. Samsung and AT&T are tight partners and AT&T was one of the first in the U.S. to offer the Galaxy S4.

The good news about today’s announcement is that the major U.S. carriers are all on board for the Galaxy Note 3, which means we should see carriers pushing to get the device out near the same time.

After AT&T, expect a T-Mobile Galaxy Note 3 option with a Sprint Galaxy Note 3 soon after. The U.S. Cellular Galaxy Note 3 could come at any time after AT&T, but based on past moves a Verizon Galaxy Note 3 release date could be dead last.

The Verizon Galaxy Note 3 release date could be last.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 comes in 32GB and 64GB storage sizes and U.S. carriers may opt to only offer the 32GB model, or one carrier could offer a Galaxy Note 3 64GB as an exclusive. The device is available in black, white and pink, and we could see special color options arrive later down the line.

Samsung switched out the plastic back of the Galaxy Note 2 for a faux leather back on the Galaxy Note 3. This may help appease users that don’t like the plastic feel of Samsung devices. The Galaxy Note 3 still features a removable back and a 3200 mAh battery plus a Micro SD card slot.

There are new S Pen features like Air Command, which lets users quickly call up five S Pen apps or actions from any screen. There are also enhanced multitasking capabilities with the ability to use two of the same app in Multi-Window mode and a new Pen Window option that can call up an app in a window the user draws on the screen.

Samsung also added a new Multi Vision Group Play feature that lets users link up three Galaxy Note 3 screens to form one big screen for watching videos.

There is no Samsung Galaxy Note 3 price yet, but U.S. carriers will likely charge around $299 on release, as it seems the top end U.S. consumers are willing to pay.

Verizon Galaxy Note 3 Pre-Order Coming Soon

Verizon has typically been last to announce details for big name devices but the carrier has come right out of the gate today saying thatSamsung Galaxy Note 3 pre-orders will arrive soon ahead of a release date that is likely going to touch down in October.

In the past, we’ve seen Verizon remain mum on specific details after a big device launch, most recently with the HTC One. Not the case with the Galaxy Note 3 it seems. Shortly after the Galaxy Note 3 event concluded, Verizon put up a Galaxy Note 3 splash page that confirms the device’s existence and also suggests that pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy Gear will be coming soon.

On the splash page, the carrier specifically says that consumers will be able to pre-order “the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with the Samsung Galaxy Gear soon.” It does not mention a specific date, leaving that open for interpretation. Carriers often say soon but don’t actually mean imminent. With that in mind, Verizon’s soon could mean several weeks rather than several days.

Verizon Galaxy Note 3 pre-orders are coming soon.

The Verizon Galaxy Note 3 price is not listed though we expect the carrier to reveal that detail when it reveals the Galaxy Note 3 pre-order date in the future. Samsung has said that the Galaxy Note 3 will land in the United States in October though it did not confirm a specific date.

Verizon’s Galaxy Note 3 doesn’t appear to have a branded home button though given that we haven’t seen a back, it’s too early to conclude that the press image seen here will resemble the Verizon model. The carrier did take heat for the decision on the Galaxy Note 2 so it could opt to change its ways with the Galaxy Note 3.

Verizon’s device will come with support for the nation’s largest 4G LTE network and it will be competing against the likes of AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and U.S. Cellular.

Like the other devices, the Verizon Galaxy Note 3 should come with a large 1080p display, 13MP camera, new slim and lightweight design with a faux leather back, new S Pen features and more.

It will be joined by the Galaxy Gear smartwatch that will be touching down alongside the Galaxy Note 3 in October for $299.

Sprint Galaxy Note 3 “Coming Soon,” Signup Page Now Live

The Verizon Galaxy Note 3 isn’t the only Samsung Galaxy Note 3 that is being promoted ahead of its release date as the Sprint Galaxy Note 3 has joined the fray with a signup that is now live ahead of the device’s actual pre-order date.

Shortly after the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 announcement, Verizon threw up a Galaxy Note 3 splash page that confirmed that it would start offering pre-orders soon ahead of the device’s release date which is likely to take place sometime during the month of October. The carrier also confirmed the Galaxy Gear for arrival as well.

Not to be outdone, Sprint has also put up a splash page for its Galaxy Note 3 that offers buyers a chance to signup to be notified about the Sprint Galaxy Note 3 pre-order that should arrive at some point ahead of the release date. Sprint doesn’t come right out and use the term pre-order but it does say that by signing up, users will find out when it becomes available. And given Sprint’s history and Verizon’s plans, we expect it to be for a pre-order date.

Sprint will be offering the Galaxy Note 3 this fall.

Sprint is coy on a Galaxy Note 3 release date as well, only saying that it will be out sometime this fall. The company says here that it will be coming soon though it’s clear if that’s a release date or a pre-order.

Samsung announced that it would be hitting Japan and the United States in October after an initial release in September. Sprint has been amongst the first carriers to offer Galaxy devices so we expect the device to land at some point next month.

Sprint’s Galaxy Note 3 should come packed with all of the perks of the other Galaxy Note 3 models which means a large 1080p display, 13MP camera, new S Pen functionality, slim and lightweight design that uses a faux leather look instead of plastic and a host of other features that should make it appealing to Sprint customers.

The carrier also says that it will be offered with an unlimited guarantee which means that users will be able to keep their unlimited data plans not just for right now, but for life.

Samsung Galaxy Note III gets its Bluetooth certification

With the introduction of the Samsung Galaxy Note III less than two weeks away, Korean manufacturer Korea is working on chopping its "things to do" list down to size. One thing that can be crossed off the list is submitting a request for the phone's Bluetooth certification. Sammy's third-generation phablet received the certification (which we assume is suitable for framing or laminating) on Wednesday.

The model that has just been green lit by Bluetooth is the NTT DoCoMo model (SGH-N075). As we mentioned the other day, the first 4 million units of the device will have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 shoehorned in. Originally, the phablet will be offered in black and white with rumors spreading that a pink variant of the Galaxy Note III will be ready by late October.

The Samsung Galaxy Note III is expected to be unveiled on September 4th at a Samsung Unpacked event in Berlin, prior to the IFA 2013 show. Also expected to be unwrapped is the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch.

Galaxy Note 3 vs. Galaxy S4: What Buyers Can Expect from Samsung

Last year, Samsung announced and released not one but two flagship Galaxy smartphones in the forms of the Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy Note 2. This year, it will do the same as theSamsung Galaxy Note 3 is posed to join theSamsung Galaxy S4 on shelves. And with the launch within reach, consumers are likely wondering how the Galaxy S4 will stack up with the Galaxy Note 3. Here we offer some possible answers.

In 2011, Samsung offered consumers a glimpse at the future. In the early part of the year, the company announced the Galaxy S2, its former flagship that replaced the original Galaxy S on shelves. Then, later in the year, the company took the stage at IFA in Germany and announced a large screen Galaxy Note, complete with an S Pen stylus and powerful software.

The launch of two big name, heavily marketed smartphones set the tone for the years to come it seems as last year, Samsung introduced not one, but two flagship smartphones in the United States and in countries around the world.

First, it was the Galaxy S3 and later in the year it was the Galaxy Note 2 that took to shelves to help the company battle devices like the iPhone. The Galaxy S3 has since been replaced by the current Galaxy S smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S4, which arrived on shelves in April. And now, it seems it will be the Galaxy Note 2′s turn to give away to a successor.

Rumors insist that the Galaxy Note 3 will be the topic of conversation at Samsung’s announced September 4th launch event ahead of IFA 2013 in Berlin, Germany. Rumors have also seemingly revealed many of the Galaxy Note 3′s features, giving consumers a pre-launch glimpse at the Galaxy Note 2 successor.

While nothing is set in stone, rumors, history and educated guesses should help us paint a picture about what to expect between the upcoming internal battle between the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the Samsung Galaxy S4.

Release Date

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is already out on shelves and will be widely available until the Galaxy S5 debuts next year. It will, however, be joined by the Galaxy Note 3 in the near future at which point the two devices will wage an internal battle against each other, while also competing against the numerous competitors on the market.

Rumors suggest that the Galaxy S4 could be challenged by the Galaxy Note 3 as soon as early September with the Galaxy Note 3 thought to be shipping out in early September shortly after its launch date. No specific date has been mentioned but it’s looking like September will be the release month.

The Galaxy Note 3 will arrive on September 4th.

The Galaxy S4 launched in the United States at the same time as other regions and given the important of this year’s Galaxy Note release, we don’t expect the United States to lag behind like it did with the Galaxy Note 2.

Expect the Verizon Galaxy Note 3 to be the last variant to arrive on shelves.

Design

The Samsung Galaxy S4 came with a design that wasn’t a complete redesign from the Galaxy S3. Instead, the company tweaked the design in several different areas.

First, it added a faux metal band that now stretches around the device to give it a distinct look. Second, it used better feeling plastic than the polycarbonate that it used with the Galaxy S3. Third, the device is a little bit taller due to the increase in screen size. The device is also thinner and lighter than the Galaxy S3 with a 7.9mm frame.

The Galaxy S4, like the Galaxy S3, also arrived with a removable back which includes a removable battery and a microSD card slot on the side for expanded storage. So what does this all have to do with the Galaxy Note 3?

Well, we still haven’t seen the Galaxy Note 3 itself leak out, meaning, the Galaxy Note 3 design is still a mystery. Rumors suggest that it will be similar to the Galaxy Note 2 in design, and in dimensions, and at this point, that seems logical.

The Galaxy Note 3 could be as slim as the Galaxy S4.

Given the Galaxy S4 design tweaks, we expect the Galaxy Note 3 to have some changes, perhaps it will use the same plastic that the Galaxy S4 does. But overall, don’t expect metal, don’t expect something that is drastically different from the Galaxy S4 or Galaxy Note 2. At the most expect a thin Galaxy Note 3 that has elements of the Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S4.

And yes, buyers should expect it to have a removable battery and microSD card slot.

Display

Samsung’s Galaxy Note is able to coexist with the Galaxy S series because of its larger display, its S Pen and its unique software. So it’s not surprising that rumors suggest that the Galaxy Note 3 display will be larger than the Galaxy S4′s 5-inch display.

Rumors insist that the Galaxy Note 3 will have a display that measure in around 5.7-inches in size. That’s .2-inches bigger than the Galaxy Note 2 display and .5-inches larger than the display on the original Galaxy Note.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 display will jump up to 5.7-inches and to a 1080P resolution, according to rumors.

Furthermore, the Galaxy Note 3 is expected to have a bump in resolution, moving from 720p HD to 1080p full HD, same as the Galaxy S4 display. This should mean crisp and clear photos, text and video and consumers should expect the two displays to be comparable to each other.  Well, except for the size.

Camera

Samsung finally upgraded the Galaxy S camera with the Galaxy S4′s 13MP sensor and buyers should expect it to do the same with the Galaxy Note 3, possibly with a similar sensor.

Rumors suggest that the Galaxy Note 3 could follow the Galaxy S4 and come with a 13MP camera sensor on board. There are rumors that the Galaxy Note 3 could also come with Optical Image Stabilization which would help deliver even better quality video. There has also been talk of 3x Optical Zoom for the camera but that seems less likely at this point.

The Galaxy Note 3 is thought to have a 13MP camera, just like the Galaxy S4.

What this means is that we could perhaps see a Galaxy Note 3 camera armed with a similar sensor and similar camera app, but also include OIS which would offer smoother video. Don’t expect the Galaxy Note 3 camera to blow the Galaxy S4′s out of the park, but it’s looking like it could be marginally better than the one found on the current flagship.

Specs

Rumors suggest that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will be coming with a more powerful processor than the Galaxy S4. While the Galaxy S4 came with a Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor in some areas, it also came with a Exynos 5 Octa processor in others. These are both powerful processors though they will be overshadowed by the CPUs in the Galaxy Note 3.

The device is heavily rumored to have a new Exynos 5 Octa chip, the Exynos 5420, in some areas and a Snapdragon 800 processor on board in others. The U.S. should see the Snapdragon 800 as it saw the Snapdragon 600 with the Galaxy S4.

A Snapdragon 800 could help the device charge faster as well.

Both processors are upgrades over the chips found inside the Galaxy S4 and they should help to offer enhanced performance when it comes to things like gaming and battery life.

Speaking of batteries, while the Galaxy S4 came with a 2,600 mAh battery, the Galaxy Note 3 is thought to have a 3,450 mAh battery, much bigger than the Galaxy S4′s. Of course, it will need to power the device’s larger screen but given the processor and given what we saw from the Galaxy Note 2 in terms of battery life, buyers can expect the Galaxy Note 3 to either be on par or surpass the Galaxy S4 when it comes to battery life.

Software

Both the Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy Note are powered by Android, Google’s operating system. They also both come equipped with Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface over the top of Android. It’s what makes them Samsung phones rather than Google phones. And while they share some things in common, there are some big differences that users should expect from the Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy Note 3.

First, the similarities. We fully expect the Galaxy Note 3 to run Google’s latest version of Android, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, right out of the box. We expect the Galaxy S4 to get Android 4.3 at some point soon, it’s just not clear when. So it could be that the Galaxy Note 3 one ups the Galaxy S4 when it comes to Android versions for a short time.

Consumers should also expect the Galaxy Note 3 to have at least some of the TouchWiz features that arrived with the Galaxy S4. Specifically, we expect the device to have the improvements that came along with the camera application. We expect other features like Smart Scroll and Smart Pause to be on board the Galaxy Note 3 as well.

There will also be major differences due to the Galaxy Note’s S Pen. The Galaxy Note series comes equipped with unique apps that take advantage of the devices bundled stylus including a note taking app called S Note that opens up as soon as the pen is taken out of its holster.

Rumors about the S Pen and its apps have been scarce but with the Galaxy S4 closing the gap with features Air View, a feature that’s on the Galaxy Note 2 but requires an S Pen, we expect the company to really focus on upgrading its arsenal of S Pen features. We should also see some new features arrive as well. Exactly what, we can’t say but don’t expect the software to remain unchanged from the Galaxy Note 2.

With the processing power and 3GB of RAM that will be coming on board the Galaxy Note 3, buyers should expect the company to enhance or add multitasking features. One of the biggest features of the Galaxy Note 2 was Multi-Window View, a feature that allowed users to split the big screen in two to run two different apps at once. The feature is now available on the Galaxy S4.

Carriers

Samsung is known to release both its flagships on several major carriers.

Both the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note are known for their widespread carrier options. The Galaxy Note wasn’t always available on a bunch of carriers but the Galaxy Note 2 changed that as it followed in the footsteps of the Galaxy S3 and arrived on AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular and Verizon Wireless.

The Galaxy S4 mirrored this release and then some as it arrived on a number of smaller carriers as well. Buyers can expect the Galaxy Note 3 to arrive on the five largest carriers in the United States but there is some concern for smaller carriers as the device hasn’t been available on a wide swath of carriers in the past.

At the very least, expect these two to share major carriers in the United States and abroad, giving buyers an assortment of options when the device is finally put up for order.

Price

Historically, the Samsung Galaxy S series is cheaper than the Galaxy Note series, thanks to the larger display and the bundled S Pen. In the past, we’ve seen the Galaxy S emerge at $199.99 on-contract and the Galaxy Note come with price tag that is $100 more expensive.

Buyers can expect the trend to continue this year as the Galaxy S4 arrived with a $199.99 price tag for the base 16GB model and the 32GB variant coming in at $249.99. We still haven’t seen any Galaxy Note 3 price rumors emerge but given that it’s likely coming with a large display that boasts high-resolution, and given the likelihood of an S Pen, $299.99 seems likely.

Of course, there are rumors that the 16GB Galaxy Note 3 will be abolished in favor of a 32GB base model, so at least there’s that. At any rate, the Galaxy S4 will be much cheaper than the Galaxy Note 3 at launch.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Carrier Rumored Ahead of September Launch

While we’ll likely have to wait until theSamsung Galaxy Note 3 launch date to find out exactly where the new phablet will be heading, consumers should add another probable Galaxy Note 3 carrier to their list as it appears that Japan’s NTT DoCoMo will get the next-generation Galaxy Note when it arrives later this year.

Despite the lack of an announcement, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is very much in the open thanks to a host of rumors that have emerge in the weeks ahead of its September 4th launch ahead of the IFA 2013 trade show in Berlin, Germany. Nothing is confirmed just yet, but rumors suggest that it will have a massive 5.68-5.7-inch 1080p display, Exynos 5 Octa and or Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, 13MP camera, design similar to the Galaxy Note 2, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and more.

The Galaxy Note 3 is rumored to be replacing the Galaxy Note 2 and joining the Galaxy S4.

On paper, the device is looking like a worthy successor to the Galaxy Note 2, a device that emerged on a number of carriers back in October and November of last year. There are, however, some things that remain in the shadows, including its design, its price, its release date and its carriers. We’ve heard a number of rumors about where it will be heading when it arrives and today, yet another carrier has been added to the list.

Galaxy Note 3 rumors have suggest that the device will be heading to the usual suspects in the United States including AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless. U.S. Cellular is likely going to get the Galaxy Note 3 as well, though that hasn’t been rumored just yet. We’re now seeing carriers outside the United States emerge with a Reuters report claiming that Japanese carrier NTT DoCoMo will be getting the Galaxy Note 3 as well.

Is this the Samsung Galaxy Note 3?

This is not surprising given NTT DoCoMo’s prominence in Japan but it is the first time we’ve seen a carrier rumored with information not revolving around suspected model numbers. It also appears that the carrier will get a ‘Japan-only’ model though it’s unclear exactly what that means.

With this carrier now all but confirmed, it appears that the Galaxy Note 3, like the other Galaxy Note and Galaxy S models, will be making its presence felt worldwide. The Galaxy Note series, which was once seen as a niche, is now available in a host of countries around the world with millions of devices in use.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Release Date: What to Expect

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is on its way, set for a September 4th launch date in Berlin, Germany. At the event, we expect Samsung to detail not only the Galaxy Note 3 features but also the Galaxy Note 3 release date, something that remains one of the only missing pieces to the Galaxy Note 3 puzzle.

For most of 2013, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has been rumored to be replacing the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. And while those rumors started as vague leaks, they have now seemingly pinpointed just about everything there is to know about the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, save for a few things.

Galaxy Note 3 rumors suggest that we’ll be seeing a device with a larger screen than the Galaxy Note 2′s 5.5-inch display with 5.68-inches now thought to be the size of the Galaxy Note 3 display. The device is also expected to feature an upgraded 13MP camera, a design that is similar to the Galaxy Note 2, 3GB of RAM, a powerful quad-core processor, a massive battery, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and most likely, some unique software. Needless to say, very little is left to the imagination.

There are still a few things left to uncover though including the Galaxy Note 3 release date which has been rumored for late September but still has not leaked out concretely ahead of the device’s launch. There have been a few whispers, but nothing has able to lock down a Galaxy Note 3 release date. Still, the rumors and Samsung’s past allow us to make some educated guesses about the Galaxy Note 3 release date prior to its arrival on September 4th.

While nothing is set in stone, here is what consumers should expect from the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 release date later on this year.

Galaxy Note 3 Release Weeks, Not Months After Launch

The Galaxy S4 is a prime example of Samsung’s release approach.

Samsung has started to become very Apple in its approach to the timing of its smartphone release dates. In the case of the Galaxy S3, Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy Note 2, we saw the device arrive for regions outside the United States just a month after their release. This was much faster timing than Samsung had ever delivered in the past and it’s timing that we expect for the Galaxy Note 3 release date.

With the Galaxy Note 3 expected to arrive on September 4th, we expect Samsung to deliver a release date that is only a few weeks after its announcement. Already, we’ve seen rumors suggest that it will be arriving in late September, at least in some regions, and given Samsung’s history, this timing makes a whole lot of sense.

We expect the Galaxy Note 3 release to fall in line with the companies previous releases and given the amount of competition that it will be facing, Samsung is left with little choice but to get it out as quickly as possible.

Staggered Galaxy Note 3 U.S. Release

While the Galaxy Note 3 launch isn’t in the United States like the Galaxy S4 launch was, we still expect the United States to get the device at some point in the weeks after the launch, not in the months. Samsung has made it a point to get devices out fast in the United States and with the Galaxy S4, there is no better example of its intentions.

Expect different Galaxy Note 3 release dates in the U.S.

We saw the United States get the device at the same time as other regions, a first. We expect something similar to happen with the Galaxy Note 3 release date. And while we can’t peg specific dates, we can say that we expect carriers to roll out the Galaxy Note 3 with staggered release dates, meaning, different release dates for different carriers.

We could see a few share release dates but we expect them, for the most part, to be different and spread out over a number of weeks during the fall.

Vague Dates at Launch

U.S. buyers should expect carriers to announce their Galaxy Note 3 intentions at launch but those expectations should be tempered a bit because we expect carriers to remain vague about specific release dates.

Unlike Apple’s concrete iPhone release date, Samsung’s smartphone release dates are still dictated by carriers which means that they release them at their discretion. With tons of devices on the way, carriers are likely going to need to debate when it might be best to release the Galaxy Note 3, something that will likely be heavily dictated by the devices in their pipelines.

Whatever the case may be, expect U.S. release dates to be vague at first and get confirmed much closer to the actual day of release. This goes for AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular and Verizon, all of which are expected to carry the device.

Laggy Verizon Galaxy Note 3 Release

That said, expect some carriers to lag behind, namely, Verizon. Verizon is notorious for being extremely slow to big name devices not called the iPhone. For instance, the HTC One, which arrived in April for AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile, is still not out on Verizon. It will show up sometime this summer, but a date is not yet know. It was announced in June.

Verizon was late to the Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy S4 and HTC One.

Those that need further evidence only need look at the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 2 releases which both were laggy on Verizon. The Galaxy Note 2 launched in late November, more than a month after some of its rivals. The Galaxy S4 did the same. So history suggests that Verizon will be late to the Galaxy Note 3.

It’s not confirmed but it’s expected.

Pre-Orders

We expect carriers to offer pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Carriers typically offer pre-orders on big name devices and the Galaxy Note 3 can be categorized as a big name device.

Length of pre-orders will vary, carrier to carrier, but we expect all of them to offer a pre-order on the Galaxy Note 3 in order to capitalize on consumer interest.

Limited Storage Options

There is a rumor that suggests that carriers may opt to carry a 32GB Galaxy Note 3, something that has never occurred in the United States. It’s unclear if American carriers will buy into this and if they do, if they will replace the 16GB model or offer both the 16GB and 32GB Galaxy Note 3.

Expect storage options to be limited at launch. The iPhone 5 came in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB upon release.

Whatever the case may be, expect there to be limited storage options. Given the microSD card support that will likely be on board, it could be that some carriers opt to only carry the Galaxy Note 3 in one storage variant. And even if they decide to carry two variants, it could be that one of the models launch down the line, much like the AT&T and Verizon 32GB Galaxy S4.

A 64GB Galaxy Note 3 seems out of the question at launch seeing as though no carrier in the U.S. has ever offered that model.

Plenty of Stock

Samsung showed that it could handle supply issues with the Samsung Galaxy S4 and we fully expect that it will accurately predict Galaxy Note 3 demand as well. The company has cited its plastic designs as a reason why its able to pump out millions of devices and keep stock afloat and rumors point to the Galaxy Note 3 being plastic.

What this means is that we shouldn’t see the device in short supply when its release rolls around, something that Apple may not be able to say about the iPhone 5S.

Tons of Competition

Consumers should expect a ton of competition around the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 release date, especially if it does occur in late September as expected.

Apple has lined up an iPhone launch for September 10th which means that the iPhone 5S will likely be launching in late September. HTC has an HTC One Max on the way and it could be debuting in September at IFA 2013 as well. Sony is expected to release the Sony Xperia Ultra Z in September and we should see the LG G2 appear in the United States in just a few short weeks as well.

The fall smartphone lineup is loaded and while the Galaxy Note 3 figures to be one of the bigger name devices, it certainly will not be without competition come release day.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Software Details Leak Again

Samsung may not be talking about the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 until September 4th in Berlin, Germany, but Galaxy Note 3 leaks have all but confirmed a number of features including the device’s Android software which will almost certainly be Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and not Android 4.2 Jelly Bean or Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.

Last week, a leak seemed to confirm the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 software as Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, the latest update from Google that emerged from hiding at the end of last month. The software, which is currently heading out to Nexus devices, has yet to land for a non-Nexus device though it looks like the Galaxy Note 3 will be among the first to get it.

The Galaxy Note 3 will launch on September 4th.

The device is now certain to arrive with Android 4.3 as a new DLNA certification for the SM-N900S, a known Galaxy Note 3 model number, pegs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean as its software. The filing found by RBMen backs up everything we’ve been seeing emerge about the Galaxy Note 3 and it points to Samsung prepping the device with Google’s latest software.

What it doesn’t reveal though is what else is going to be on board, software-wise, when the Galaxy Note 3 touches down on September 4th ahead of IFA in Berlin. The Galaxy Note series always comes equipped with unique software that takes advantage of the big screen and the device’s S Pen stylus which is bundled with the device.

The Galaxy Note 3 will run Android 4.3 Jelly Bean it seems.

Last year’s Galaxy Note 2 brought upgraded S Pen applications and the device’s well-known Multi-Window View feature that allows users to split the display up to run two different applications at once. The Galaxy S3 recently received this feature through an Android 4.1.2 update.

What will come to the Galaxy Note 3 though is unclear. Samsung will likely include some of the features that arrived with the Galaxy S4 software back in April but which features remain unknown.

As for the rest of the Galaxy Note 3, the device is likely to utilize a 5.7-inch 1080p display, quad-core processor, 13MP camera, a design that is plastic like the Galaxy S4 and a release date in late September.
